Commentary
Tadiwanashe Marumani: We had a blueprint. But honestly, I just gave myself some time (to assess). It was more about trusting myself out there. It's a par score, good pitch to bat on.
3:08 PM local time (6:38 PM IST): Zimbabwe score 191/8. Sri Lanka need 192 runs to win at 9.60 RPO.

Tadiwanashe Marumani 51 (44) | Sikandar Raza 28 (18)
Dushan Hemantha - 3/38 (4) | Dushmantha Chameera - 2/33 (4)

What a refreshingly good effort with the bat by Zimbabwe! Yes it was a decent pitch to bat on, as many might not have thought, but just the application right from the start to the end, holds this batting essay in real high regard!

Tadiwanashe Marumani, Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Ryan Burl, Tashinga Musekiwa - all played their part with the bat. They chipped in with handy runs and most importantly, ran hard between the wickets. Quite a few runs were stolen from the visitors and there was an all-run four in there too!

Sri Lanka had their moments. But they let some of them slip. A dropped catch, some lapses in the ground fielding and of course, some not-so-good balls at different times in the innings! They seemed a bit surprised by the Zimbabwean batting too!

This is a good surface as we said, but under pressure, in a decider, it will take some chasing for the Lankan Lions! The 2nd innings is coming up shortly!

19.6 Matheesha Pathirana to Richard Ngarava, FOUR! Ends with a high! And it's a proper cricketing shot. It's not full enough from Pathirana, Ngarava drills it straight back past the bowler. Beats the fielder at long-on

You do get these moments at this stage of the innings, don't you? But now, the important question is, can Zimbabwe go past 190?
Tinotenda Maposa has been dismissed for 1 runs off 1 balls
19.5 Matheesha Pathirana to Tony Munyonga, poor cricket from Munyonga! Short of a length outside off, plays it with soft hands behind point. Maposa wants to come back for the second but Munyonga sends him back. You've got to run for everything at this point
This time, off-stump could have been flattened! But it's good bowling though.
19.4 Matheesha Pathirana to Tony Munyonga, full ball close to the off-stump. Swings hard but misses. It wasn't too wide of the off-stump
Could easily have taken leg-stump for a walk!
19.3 Matheesha Pathirana to Tony Munyonga, makes room but the bowler follows him with the yorker. Fails to make any contact
19.2 Matheesha Pathirana to Tinotenda Maposa, full ball on the stumps. Gets a thick inside edge behind square leg

You get these deliveries with bowlers who have a sling in their action. Some just skid on and if in line, tend to take wickets, just like here!
Brad Evans has been dismissed for 2 runs off 3 balls
19.1 Matheesha Pathirana to Brad Evans, OUT! He could have well walked for that! As plumb as it gets! Straight yorker, plays all around it and gets pinned right in front
Matheesha Pathirana [3.0-0-34-0] comes back into the attack.

Munyonga has made that shot he played in the last ball of the over, his own! But now, even 200 is on the cards. So, how do the batters approach these next six balls?
