That will be all from our side as we wrap up our coverage of the first innings of this third ODI between England and South Africa. The Proteas need to chase down a mammoth 415 and it will be a herculean task for them in the second innings. For now, it's Soumarya Dutta signing off on behalf of Pradeep. Over to the next set of commentators for the remainder of the match.
England 414/5 in 50 overs
Jacob Bethell 110(82) | Keshav Maharaj 2/46 Joe Root 100(96) | Corbin Bosch 2/79
414/5 and England have managed to record their highest ever score against South Africa in ODI cricket. This has been an outstanding effort from them and they've showed what exactly they're capable of in this format. The 100's from Root and Bethell set the stage for that humongous score while Jos Buttler came in and played an incredible cameo of 62 runs from 32 balls and stayed unbeaten till the end. Will Jacks also played his part with the quickfire 19 runs from 9 balls.
England started off with a bang as they picked up a flurry of boundaries in the first few overs. Nandre Burger never found his lines as Duckett took him to the cleaners. The left hander was aggressive and England managed to get to 50 in no time. It was Corbin Bosch who managed to pick up a wicket in the powerplay and dismissed Duckett and almost had Smith too. However Breetzke dropped the chance as England continued to dominate even after the powerplay.
Keshav Maharaj eventually got rid of Jamie Smith but not before he did some major damage and got to 62. Jacob Bethell came in at that stage and along with Joe Root began to dominate. The pair took on Maharaj and smashed the seamers. Bethell took the charge while Root rotated the strike and consolidated. Nandre Burger also dropped a chance which proved to be costly for South Africa. The run was close to 7 at the end of the 30th over for England.
Jacob Bethell continued with his carnage as Bavuma looked flabbergasted and failed to rotate the bowlers well. Codi Yusuf was taken to the cleaners as was Burger and Bosch all of whom went at more than 8 runs per over. Mulder was the only one who managed to keep his tidy for a bit. Brevis chipped in with four overs but he too paid the price. The breakthrough finally came in the 41st over as Maharaj got rid of Bethell and then Brook was dismissed in a span of a couple of deliveries as he was run out.
South Africa were deplorable with the ball as they gave away as many as 27 extras including 19 wides. It led to them not being able to bowl their overs on time and they ended up having one extra fielder inside the circle in the last few overs. Keshav Maharaj and Corbin Bosch were the only ones who picked up a couple of wickets. The rest of the lot went for far too many as the bowlers struggled under pressure.

49.6 Nandre Burger to Jos Buttler, FOUR TO FINISH! England post a mammoth 414 on the board to win this final game of the ODI series. Length delivery on off-stump, Buttler slams it straight back past the bowler. Mid-on can't catch on as it races away to the ropes.
Buttler is showing his class with this scoops and reverse scoops. It's what makes him so dangerous in this phase of the innings.
49.5 Nandre Burger to Jos Buttler, FOUR! Was shaping up for a scoop or something. Burger bowls a full toss outside the off-stump. Buttler stands still, then helps it over the man at short third for another boundary.
49.4 Nandre Burger to Jos Buttler, clever change of pace, short into the batter. Buttler uses his feet, early into the pull and misses.
49.3 Nandre Burger to Jos Buttler, FOUR MORE! England continue to pile on the misery on South Africa here. Short into the batter, Buttler pulled it past backward square-leg, races away to the ropes.
49.2 Nandre Burger to Will Jacks, pace off, back of a length outside the off-stump. Jacks early into the shot, mistimes the swipe to mid-on for one.
400 up for England now. It's the 7th time that they've managed to go past 400 in an One Day International. This will take some chasing from South Africa.
England Scored 400 runs in 49.1 overs
49.1 Nandre Burger to Will Jacks, FOUR! Excellent start to the final over. Length delivery, wide of off-stump. Jacks reaches and spanked it to deep extra-cover, one bounce into the ropes.
Buttler has got to his fifty and with one over left in the innings, England are just three runs short of 400. This has been a monumental effort from them as they've thrashed the Proteas badly in this final ODI of the series.

48.5 Corbin Bosch to Jos Buttler, FIFTY FOR BUTTLER! Quick fire innings from Buttler, has ensured England will get past 400 here. Full into the batter, Buttler whips it to deep mid-wicket and had enough time to hare back for the couple.
48.4 Corbin Bosch to Jos Buttler, FOUR! Uses his feet, had to reach for the length delivery and Buttler slammed it to long-off, had enough legs to run away to the ropes.
