What is the lore behind Cold Snap in Fortnite?

Cold Snap is an OG Pickaxe within the Metaverse. Despite its age, there is no lore that ties this cosmetic item to the storyline in any way. In fact, most new players do not know that it exists to begin with. However, it is popular with older players who have been around since Fortnite Season 1. The official description of the item reads, "Frosted and flowery."

Cold Snap is basically a Pickaxe that has been fashioned out of wood and has flowers attached to it. The bottom of the Pickaxe seems to have roots as well. A lantern hangs from the edge of the stick, providing the user with some light. However, this does not provide any in-game advantage.
