What is the lore behind Fresh in Fortnite?

When it comes to super rare Emotes in Fortnite, Fresh is by far considered the rarest of the lot. It has been in the game's files since Season 1. It predates nearly every other Emote out there. It does not have any lore associated with the game or storyline, but it is well-known by nearly every player.

Seeing someone use this Emote in-game is a symbol of legitimate OG status. In fact, seeing someone use this Emote is possibly rarer than finding a Mythic Goldfish. It's official in-game description reads, "Express yourself on the battlefield." While it's unclear what Epic Games was trying to convey, it is known that the Emote in question was based on the "Carlton dance" made by Alfonso Ribeiro.

On that note, the Emote being eventually led to a lawsuit with Epic Games. Following the conundrum, it was promptly vaulted and removed from the Item Sop. As such, those who have this Emote and truly a lucky few.
