He has been a part of the team’s logo, which is one of the most popular logos in the history of professional basketball. Lucky has a trademark bowler hat and shillelagh. The previous version of Lucky had a shillelagh and a pipe. He wore a championship crown instead of a bowler hat and instead of balancing the basketball on his finger, he sat on it. The NBA team has an Irish character as a mascot and the team logo depicts the population of Irish immigrants in Boston, which has always been high. The whimsical nature and mischievous personality of a leprechaun represents the team’s spirit and style of play, which makes Lucky an ideal mascot for the Boston Celtics.

The mascot is known to bring good luck to the Boston Celtics and the franchise won 17 NBA championships, making them one of the most successful teams in the league.
