SmackDown Results: Bianca Belair makes WrestleMania decision; Former WWE Champion destroyed by Reigns

Roman Reigns kicked off SmackDown and said that WWE and the blue brand needed him and gloated about beating Daniel Bryan. Roman then added that his special night was ruined by Edge who speared him at the end. He gave the 2021 Royal Rumble winner another opportunity to back down if he valued his safety.

Roman went on and said that a man like Edge didn't stand a chance against a man like him. Daniel Bryan came out to mock Reigns for beating him after he was already exhausted. He said that Roman wasn't a real champion and made fun of him for not waiting till the main event to put his title on the line.

Bryan challenged Reigns to a title match at Fastlane before Jey Uso got in his face. Reigns asked if Daniel wanted to get hurt again and Uso ambushed him and tossed him outside the ring.

Backstage on SmackDown, Edge walked up to Adam Pearce and wanted to talk about Bryan facing Roman at Fastlane since it could potentially change the course of his WrestleMania match.

After a break, Pearce said that Bryan and Jey will face each other tonight, and if Daniel wins, he will face Roman at Fastlane for the Universal Championship.

In another part of the arena, Reigns told Uso to handle the Daniel Bryan situation on SmackDown.

Otis & Chad Gable vs. Rey & Dominik Mysterio on SmackDown

Otis knocked Mysterio down right away on SmackDown and hit a splash before sending Rey into the corner. Gable was tagged in and landed a knee before Rey recovered with a kick and made the tag.

Dominik came in with a tornado DDT and then tagged in Rey for a double team. Rey took out Otis from the apron before he and Dom hit a double 619 on Gable. Rey got a splash but Otis broke the pin.

Otis tagged in on SmackDown and took out Rey Mysterio with a huge splash and got the win.

Apollo Crews was out next on SmackDown and talked about how he was always overlooked in WWE. He then talked about his Nigerian heritage and said that he stood for "Wealth, Dominance and Power".

Nakamura interrupted Apollo by making his entrance. Crews attacked Shinsuke mid-entrance and was about to hit him with the steel steps before we headed for a break.

We returned from commercials to see that the match was underway and Apollo was in control. Shinsuke hit a huge kick and a running knee to get back into it before being hit with multiple German Suplexes on SmackDown.

Nakamura hit a drive-by knee strike on the apron and locked in a sleeper hold in the ring before Apollo broke out of it. He used his scarf to get an unfair advantage in the corner and hit the Angle Slam for the win.

Backstage on SmackDown, Paul Heyman notified Roman Reigns that Daniel Bryan could get a title shot tonight if he defeated Jey Uso.

Tamina vs. Liv Morgan on SmackDown

Tamina hit a huge big boot early on and took down Morgan before beating her down on the mat but failed to get the pin. Morgan hit a step-up enzuigiri and sent Tamina into the corner with a dropkick.

A missile dropkick from the second rope sent Tamina off her feet for a two-count. Tamina hit a big Samoan Drop and drove Liv into the mat with a swingout sidewalk slam for the win.

Bianca Belair makes her WrestleMania decision on SmackDown

Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville were out on SmackDown for Bianca Belair's WrestleMania challenge decision. Belair was ready to announce her decision but Reginald interrupted her.

Reggie said that Belair's dreams will not come true if she faces Sasha Banks and she would be a loser. Sasha Banks joined in and told Reggie again to never speak for him.

Sasha called Bianca 'second best' since she herself was the best and Belair threatened to take her title.

Belair pointed at the WrestleMania sign on SmackDown and confirmed that she would be indeed challenging Sasha Banks for the title.

Corbin and Sami were backstage and they argued if they should work together or not. Sami wanted to join forces with Corbin but the Lone Wolf said that it would be good but Sami should never tell him what to do. Corbin left after telling Sami to be 'a a professional'.

Sami Zayn & King Corbin vs. The Street Profits on SmackDown

Zayn and Ford kicked off the match and Dawkins and Corbin were tagged in early on. The Profits hit a double team move and knocked Corbin outside and onto the barricades.

We returned after a break on SmackDown and Sami was in control in the ring before Dawkins came in and took him out. Corbin came in and was tossed out of the ring before he was distracted by the film crew.

Ford hit a huge dive while Baron was distracted and took him out before Dawkins hit a neck breaker on Sami and Montez came back with the frog splash for the win.

Daniel Bryan was backstage on SmackDown and talked about possibly being out of shape. Edge came in to have a chat before Bryan headed for his match.

Seth Rollins was out on SmackDown and said he got a "huge" response to the letter that he sent WWE before Cesaro interrupted him. Cesaro was about to attack Rollins and Seth talked him out of it and said that he was going to make it up to him.

Seth started talking about how great Cesaro is before saying that he lacked the killer instinct that allowed Rollins to rise the ranks in WWE. He offered to help Cesaro reach the top if he agreed to work with him.

Cesaro replied by swinging Seth for a whole minute before hitting him with an uppercut.

Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso on SmackDown

Uso took Bryan down with a tackle before Bryan took Uso into the corner and hit a huge clothesline. Uso was hit with a barrage of kicks in the corner before getting a near fall with a top rope hurricanrana.

Bryan went for a dive on SmackDown but Uso hit a kick to stop him. Uso went after Daniel's injured knee and sent him into the announce desk and the ring post before we headed for a break.

Back on SmackDown, Uso hit a Samoan Drop on Bryan for a near fall. Daniel dodged the splash before Bryan sent Uso outside for a running knee off the apron. Bryan went up top but missed his shot before Uso had a half crab locked in. The former WWE Champion got out of it by kicking Uso in the head and got a near fall.

Uso and Bryan were on the top rope when Bryan hit a butterfly superplex and tried for the Yes Lock before Uso sent him into the steel steps outside. The referee counted them both out and the match was over.

Result: Double count out.

Bryan locked in the Yes Lock in the ring before Reigns attacked him. Bryan locked in the Yes lock on Reigns but Uso superkicked him. Reigns hit a spear and the guillotine, knocking Bryan out.

Bryan's big opportunity was squashed again!
