Twitter reacts to WWE SmackDown Live (18 December 2018)

This week of WWE SmackDown Live was broadcast from the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA. The show kicked off with Shane McMahon addressing the entire SmackDown roster backstage.

Shane McMahon motivates all the superstars, and then called out Paige to thank her for what she did as General Manager of SmackDown. He then informed the roster that Paige will be getting a new role.

As the broadcast cut to the ring, Becky Lynch came out and started expressing her anger at Ronda Rousey for costing her the title on Sunday. Charlotte came out and made the same claim. Asuka then came out and claimed that she deserved to win the title at TLC.

Vince McMahon then came out and asked Asuka to defend her title. Asuka agreed to defend her title, and Naomi came out to face Asuka for the championship.

Asuka and Naomi started their match well, and after some incredible action, Asuka used the Asuka Lock on Naomi. Naomi tapped out, and Asuka successfully retained her title.

Jeff Hardy came out next to hear "Samoa Joe's apology". Samoa Joe came out and mocked Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy then told Joe that he hasn't won one title on the main roster in two years. Joe went for the attack, but Hardy hit a Twist of Fate, and then left.

In this week of SmackDown Live, Miz teamed up with Mandy Rose to face the winner of Mixed Match Challenge, R-Truth and Carmella, defeating them in a quick match.

The Usos came out next to address the WWE Universe, but Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson interrupted and challenged them to a match. The McMahon family made the match between these two teams.

The Usos defeated the team of Gallows and Anderson by disqualification when Sanity attacked both teams.

In the main event of this week's SmackDown Live, AJ Styles teamed up with the newest member of the SmackDown roster, Mustafa Ali, against the team of WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Andrade 'Cien' Almas. After some extraordinary action, Mustafa Ali pinned the WWE Champion, Daniel Bryan, to get the victory for his team.
