Tonight's WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view featured eleven matches on the card with matches from RAW, SmackDown Live, and 205 Live taking place on the show. At the pay-per-view, there were two pre-show matches with Drew Gulak successfully defending his Cruiserweight Championship against Humberto Carrillo and Lince Dorado. The second pre-show match of the night saw AJ Styles successfully defend the US Championship against Cedric Alexander.The first match on the main show saw Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler win the RAW Tag Team Championships from the duo of Braun Strowman and Seth Rollins after a little bit of miscommunication between the former champion pair.Next up, we had the first women's and singles match of the night that saw Bayley upset Charlotte Flair within a time span of 4 minutes. In the next match of the night, The Revival won the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships by beating The New Day. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross also had a successful outing at Clash of Champions as they defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville to retain the Women's Tag Team Championships.Shinsuke Nakamura also had a successful night in Charlotte, as he retained the Intercontinental Championship over The Miz. Becky Lynch also walked out as the RAW Women's Champion but not without controversy in her match against Sasha Banks. The Man hit the match official with a steel chair to get disqualified but then continued to brawl with The Boss all around the arena.The final three matches of the night saw Kofi Kingston retain his WWE Championship over Randy Orton and in the co-main event of the evening, Erick Rowan stunned the WWE Universe by defeating Roman Reigns with the help of a returning Luke Harper.In the main event of the night, Seth Rollins retained the Universal Championship in a hard-fought win over Braun Strowman after hitting four stomps on The Monster Among Men.
