Sheamus, born Stephen Farrelly, is an Irish professional wrestler who has been with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) since 2006. As of November 2024, he is a prominent competitor on the Raw brand. Before signing with WWE, he initiated his professional wrestling career as Sheamus O'Shaunessy at Monster Factory wrestling school. He later transitioned to the European independent circuit, showcasing his talents in promotions such as Irish Whip Wrestling and various British wrestling federations.

In 2007, Sheamus debuted in WWE's developmental brand, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), where he quickly grabbed the Florida Heavyweight Championship. Following the closure of ECW, he joined the main roster of WWE and made history by becoming the first Irish WWE Champion, capturing the title just 166 days after his arrival. Alongside the WWE Championship, Sheamus has held every other major title in the company, except the Intercontinental Championship, as of November 2024.

Sheamus was born on January 28, 1978, in Cabra, a suburb on the north side of Dublin, Ireland. However, he considers North Great George's Street, also located on the northside of Dublin, his hometown, as his family moved there shortly after his birth. This historic street, first established in 1766, links Parnell Street to Great Denmark Street.

Hailing from an Irish family, The Celtic Warrior is a fluent speaker of the Irish language. He attended Scoil Caoimhin Primary School and Gaelscoil Coláiste Mhuire Secondary School, where he was an active participant in the Palestrina Choir and appeared on Irish television until the age of 13. Upon completing his secondary education, he earned a National Diploma (NDip) while also playing rugby union for the National College of Ireland.
