From the WWE Rumour Mill: Paige confirms split from Alberto Del Rio via Snapchat?

What's the story?

WWE Superstar Paige's relationship status with Alberto Del Rio has been up in the air following the well-documented incident that took place in an airport between the two wrestlers. Now, the soon-to-be-returning Superstar has just made her first public comments about her relationship with Del Rio.

In case you didn't know...

Alberto Del Rio recently returned to wrestling for Impact Wrestling, interfering in the main event for Bound For Glory and referencing the false charges of domestic abuse that were levelled against him following the aforementioned incident with Paige.

Paige, on the other hand, has reportedly finished rehabbing an injury and has since been training at the WWE Performance Centre and is now the subject of abundant return rumours.

The heart of the matter

The following video was posted on Paige's Instagram and retweeted as below. In the video Paige films herself with a couple getting intimate in the background, and she bemoans the fact that she's single.

This appears to be Paige's first public confirmation that she's single following her public altercation with Del Rio.

What's next?

We're still awaiting Paige's return to ring action, which is reportedly going to happen soon, although it's unlikely to be any time before Survivor Series, with the build-up having been set.

Although following the recent sudden changes to the Survivor Series card, anything could happen; there is a spot on the RAW women's team for example!

Obviously, I'm not massively qualified to comment on the relationship between Paige and Alberto Del Rio. However, no-one can deny that the relationship between the two seemed to have an adverse effect on Paige's standing within the WWE.

So, fingers crossed, Paige can use this as a fresh start and refocus on her wrestling career as she is arguably one of WWE's most exciting female talents.
