Fans react to WWE SmackDown Live (16th April 2019)

This week of WWE SmackDown Live was live from the Bell Centre in Montreal. Kevin Owens kicked off the show with his talk show, the Kevin Owens Show.

KO introduced Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods as his guests. He congratulated Kofi for winning the title at WrestleMania 35.

Owens then requested Kofi to make him the member of New Day. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods accepted it and made Owens the honourary member of New Day.

Next, on SmackDown Live, Intercontinental Champion Finn Balor came out to face Ali. After some amazing back and forth action, Balor pinned Ali after hitting the Coup de Grace.

Carmella came out with R-Truth next to face Charlotte Flair but lost the match when The Queen locked her in the Figure Eight submission move. After the match, Lars Sullivan came out and attacked R-Truth before leaving the arena.

Becky Lynch came out next to address the WWE Universe and said that she will defend her titles in any brand and against any opponent. Ember Moon interrupted and challenged her for a match. Bayley then came out and challenged Lynch. The trio got interrupted by the Women's Tag Team Champions, The IIconics.

They mocked them before getting interrupted by Paige who came out to introduce the two superstars who will challenge IIconics. Before she could reveal the names, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville came out and claimed that they are the Superstars which Paige mentioned. Paige then said that Asuka and Kairi Sane are the two Superstars chosen by her.

Next, the team of Kairi Sane, Asuka, Bayley and Ember Moon faced the team of IIconics, Sonya Deville and Mandy Rose. After some back and forth action, Kairi Sane pinned Peyton Royce to pick up the victory for her team.

Kofi Kingston along with Xavier Woods and Kevin Owens came out next to face the team of Cesaro, Rusev and Nakamura and defeated them comfortably.

Vince McMahon came out to reveal the biggest acquisition in SmackDown's history. He introduced Elias as the marquee signing for the Blue Brand. Elias came out and mocked the Montreal crowd and then started his performance.

Roman Reigns interrupted them and attacked Elias before hitting a Superman Punch to Vince McMahon. He then returned back to the ring and hit a spear on Elias to end the show.
