AEW Dynamite Results: Vanguard 1 invades Jericho's house, Former WWE star takes a shot at Vince McMahon

This week's episode of AEW Dynamite took place from an undisclosed location. Even with the issues caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Dynamite did not disappoint. It was a fantastic show from top to bottom and featured Lance Archer in his first-ever match in an AEW ring. We also saw Kenny Omega in singles action to open the show as well as the AEW debut of Anna Jayy.

The main event of the night saw Cody and Darby Allin team up to take on the team of Sammy Guevara and Darby Allin. The main event tore the house down and showed us how good wrestling can be even without an audience.

Trent vs Kenny Omega

This week's Dynamite kicked off with Trent taking on Kenny Omega in singles action. Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy were at ringside, accompanying Trent and cheering him on.

Omega was the favorite going in and he started off strong. Kenny dominated the match Trent stamped on Omega's hand and started going after it. Omega caught Trent on the apron and hit him with a Deadlift German Suplex onto the floor. Omega then whipped Trent into the barricade at ringside.

Back in the ring, Omega hit a brainbuster before Trent countered with a Tornado DDT. He followed it up with a running elbow in the corner and followed it up with a baseball slide German Suplex.

Both men traded strikes and Omega went for a powerbomb, only for Trent to counter it and hit a Piledriver. Omega then connected with another attempt at a Powerbomb and followed it up immediately with a V-Trigger.

Omega followed with up with his patented One-Winged Angel to finally put Trent away and picked up the win.

Hikaru Shida vs Anna Jayy

Hikaru Shida started off on top, powering Jayy into the corner before the newcomer reversed it. Shida then took Jayy down with a shoulder tackle before blocking an armdrag. Shida then went for a dropkick but Jayy caught the ropes, causing Shida to crash to the mat.

Jayy hit back with right hands followed by a nee to the midsection. She then caught Jayy with a forearm, flooring her immediately. Shida went for a vertical suplex but Jayy reversed it caught Shida with a side kick. She followed it up with a running neckbreaker before rolling Shida up for a 2-count. Jayy then went for Schoolgirl for another 2-count.

Shida went for a submission but Jayy managed to get her foot on the ropes. The finish of the match saw Shida pick up Anna Jayy effortlessly and hit her with a Falcon Arrow to pin her for the win.

After the match, as Shida was making her way out of the ring, she came face to face with Britt Baker and the duo exchanged words. Clearly, this will lead to something in the future.

Marko Stunt vs Lance Archer

Lance Archer made his in-ring debut in All Elite Wrestling next as he took on "Mr. Fun Size" Marko Stunt in singles action. Archer went right after Stunt as soon as he entered the ring, nearly beheading him with a lariat.

Archer continued to toss Stunt around the ring, laying in the hurt. Stunt rolled out of the ring to but himself some time. Stunt managed to get in a suicide dive and then reversed a chokeslam and caught Archer in the head with a boot.

Stunt tried to run the ropes to pick up some speed but Archer hit him with a nasty tackle, launching him out of the ring. Archer then pulled Stunt back into the middle of the ring and hit him with a chokeslam. Instead of pinning Marko Stunt right away, Lance Archer picked Stunt back up and hit him with The Blackout to finally pin him for the win.

Archer came back into the ring as he was walking away. He caught Marko Stunt and literally tossed him into the audience area taking out Orange Cassidy and Billy Gunn.

We got a backstage vignette with 'The Exalted One' Brodie Lee and The Dark Order after this. Once again, it was clear that Brodie Lee was pretty much taking a shot at Vince McMahon in the segment:

8 and 9 (The Dark Order) vs Dustin Rhodes and QT Marshall

QT Marshall started off the match with 8 and immediately took him down with a nasty right hand. Dustin Rhodes came in as the legal man and was immediately all over 8. Dustin and QT Marshall double-teamed 8 before he tagged in 9.

QT got isolated in the Dark Order's corner briefly before the Natural Nightmares took control of the match again. QT and Dustin Rhodes planted 9 with their finisher and quickly pinned him to end the match.

We joined Chris Jericho in his home as he was relaxing in a pool. He had a message for The Elite, calling them a group of fools. He went on to call out Kenny Omega. We then saw Vanguard 1 flying in to confront Chris Jericho. Jericho offered Vanguard 1 a place in The Inner Circle once again and gave it an Inner Circle t-shirt. Check out the hilarious last part of this segment in the video, as Jericho set the dogs on Vanguard 1 when he flew away with the t-shirt.

Cody and Darby Allin vs Sammy Guevara and Shawn Spears

All 4 of these men will be in the TNT Championship tournament.

Cody and Shawn Spears started us off, Spears locking in an early side headlock. Darby tagged himself in and was soon followed by Sammy Guevara. Guevara brought his phone into the ring and tagged out almost immediately going to film near Brandi Rhodes. Brandi took Guevara's phone and walked away just as Darby Allin charged at Guevara.

Allin and Spears were back in the ring as the legal men. Allin hit a dropkick and tagged out. Allin and Cody followed this up with stereo suicide dives. Cody rolled Spears back into the ring and locked in an armbar.

Spears finally tagged out. Cody immediately caught Guevara with an armdrag and tagged Darby Allin in. Darby was all over Guevara, hitting him with chops. The babyfaces traded tags to work on Guevara.

Spears soon took back control for his team. He worked well with Guevara to isolate Allin. Allin tagged Cody in. Cody came in hot and took Spears out before hitting Sammy Guevara with a powerslam. He followed it up with a springboard cutter.

Cody locked in a Sharpshooter on Guevara and then switched over to a Figure Four to Spears. Guevara came back in and broke it up with a running shooting star press. Spears them dumped Cody over the barricade where the heels were standing and they unloaded on him.

The heels were in control at this point as they worked over Cody. Cody found an opening for himself and knocked Guevara off the apron before hitting the top rope and taking Spears down with a moonsault.

Cody finally tagged Darby Allin in. Allin used his body like a weapon, taking out both Spears and Guevara. Darby then dodged Spears' offense, causing him to clothesline his own partner out of the ring. Darby then hit Guevara with a suicide dive and then went to hit Spears with another. Spears caught him and tossed him into the barricade.

Guevara and Spears turned their attention to Cody. We then saw that Darby Allin had climbed a pole at ringside and he hit Guevara and Spears with a Coffin Drop from there.

Back in the ring, Guevara handed Spears a chair to use on Cody. Darby Allin stopped Spears but got rolled up. Spears picked up the win for his team.

A frustrated Darby Allin took Cody out with a right hand after the match was over.
