The Minnesota Lynx fans' worst nightmares came true on Saturday night when Napheesa Collier walked off the court in the game against the Las Vegas Aces with an injury. With 23 seconds left on the clock in the third quarter of the game, Collier jumped to collect a rebound.

However, she did not land properly and fell straight to the ground after a contact with an Aces player. Vegas attempted a fast break into a corner 3 play, but the shot missed. The play was then stopped as medical professionals rushed onto the site to help the Lynx guard.

When Collier stood with assistance, she appeared to be in pain and had to sit back down. Medical personnel and her teammates quickly surrounded her, blocking all camera angles with towels. The Lynx guard then left the game with help.

ESPN reported that Napheesa Collier has suffered a right ankle injury. Despite missing their star player, the Lynx secured a blowout 111-58 win over the Aces.

Napheesa Collier reveals her experience in navigating the WNBA CBA negotiations

The WNBPA, led by Nneka Ogwumike as the President with Napheesa Collier in the Vice President position, alongside Kelsey Plum, Breanna Stewart, and Alysha Clark, has been tirelessly working to get the best for the players in the CBA negotiations.

On Thursday, Collier appeared as a guest on the "A Touch More with Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe" podcast. During one segment, the Lynx guard revealed her thoughts on being an integral part of the CBA negotiations for the first time in her career.

"This is my first true CBA. I came in when it became effective on the last one, so I didn’t have any experience in the negotiations,” She said. “I underestimated the tomfoolery that goes into it." (32:50)

The league is on the verge of a possible lockout as the league and the players have not yet found common ground in the CBA negotiations. The players are asking to be paid more or in their words, paid what they are owed.

During the All-Star game this season, the players came out wearing t-shirts with "Pay us what you owe us" slogans. The league had offered a proposal to the players, but they rejected it as it fell short of their demands.

WNBA has to reach an agreement with WNBPA before October, as some players, including Angel Reese and Napheesa Collier, have talked about walking out. If that scenario comes to fruition, it would create big problems for the league, especially when they are planning to expand massively in the near future.
