Chicago Sky fans are not going easy on Chicago Sky GM Jeff Pagliocca after he made some comments on Angel Reese’s production. Pagliocca spoke to the Sun-Times on Tuesday and said that he is very ‘disappointed’ by how his team has performed so far:“It’s a long season and there’s a lot of games left, but this is unexpected, and I’ve been very disappointed.“We had pretty big, significant expectations for this season. That’s why I made the moves I made.”Pagliocca went on to talk about Angel Reese’s form this season and said that the team needs her to produce more:“She’s had some great games, and she’s had some games like everybody else that haven’t been her best. But she’s our best chance at versatility on this roster. We need more production out of her, but we need her to help us in other ways, too.”Following his comments on Reese's production, fans have relentlessly been going after Pagliocca on social media. One fan said:StephGotPlex @StephaniesdjLINKThis is a nasty set up for angel man. All this let me know when this continues to go to shit she will get all the blame if she doesn’t “produce” the way JP wants. I can see it now.Another fan said:Gwen Dolyn @Gwinnin23LINKYou say this but when the coach is asked what can he do to get Angel going offensively, he has no answer and says it’s important to get everyone going offensively. Chicago Sky’s organization is a dumpster fireAnother fan added:Dlo @_615dloLINKSeem like you should be saying you need more production out of the whole team and your 6’7 3rd pick who your coach keeps trying to play throughFans continued to defend Angel Reese, saying that she already does enough for the team:One fan said:A fan opined:Bobby Muldrow @BMuldrow1987LINKWhat they need is for the guards to share the ball. So many times, Cardoso and Reese are open off the pick and roll and the guards either don’t see it or decide not to pass. Or they see them too late and the rotation gets there to contest. You should always look pass first in P&ROne fan commented:Elleman_ @Eva_lasting00LINKShe has all the intangibles that other 4s in the league have and is still learning how to be better. I just think it’s wild as a GM that you put all of the responsibility on a SECOND yr player because of your failure to construct a good roster.Reese has been one of the Sky's best players on both ends, recording 10.1 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game. Her scoring could be better, and her FG% also needs to improve. Outside of that, Reese has been solid for Chicago. The Chicago Sky are struggling collectively and hold the 11th spot in the league (2-6).Angel Reese now boasts the highest offensive rebound average across the NBA and WNBAAngel Reese is criticized for many things, but her presence on the glass cannot be faulted. A post on X by Underdog WNBA revealed that Reese is tied for the highest OREB per game averages across both leagues, the NBA and WNBA. She is tied with Moses Malone, who recorded 5.1 offensive rebounds per game for his career. While this would be an amazing achievement for any player, Reese will likely be trolled for it. Fans have already begun to point out that her offensive rebounding numbers are inflated, claiming that she only grabs her missed shots. Regardless of how she does it, Reese has been cracking the glass for the Sky and is easily one of the best rebounders in the WNBA.
