Sam Reinhart is a professional ice hockey forward for the Florida Panthers in the 2024/25 NHL season. He was selected 15th overall by the Kootenay Ice in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. He won the Ed Chynoweth Cup with the team in the 2010–11 season. In 2011–12, Reinhart was awarded the Jim Piggott Memorial Trophy as the WHL’s top rookie. He was ranked fourth among North American skaters in NHL Central Scouting’s 2014 midterm rankings.

He played in the Western Hockey League, earning the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy in the 2013-14 season. Reinhart was drafted second overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. In 2021, he was traded to the Florida Panthers, where he signed a three-year, $19.5 million contract. Reinhart scored his 25th power-play goal in a single season and became the second Panthers player to score 50 goals in a season. In 2024, Reinhart won the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers, scoring the Cup-winning goal in game seven.
