Coco Gauff is an American professional tennis player born on March 13, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia. Ranked No. 3 (as of November 2024) by the WTA, Gauff has won nine singles titles to date, including the 2023 US Open and the 2024 China Open. After winning her first major at age 19, Gauff became the first American teenager to win the US Open title since Serena Williams in 1999.
At the 2024 China Open, she registered a win against Karolina Muchova in straight sets. Gauff finished semifinalist at the 2024 Italian Open in both singles and doubles with Erin Routliffe. World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka defeated her in the semifinal of the 2024 Wuhan Open.
Gauff storms into the semifinal of the 2024 WTA Finals with her win against Iga Swiatek and Jessica Pegula in the group stage. She overcame World No. 1 Sabalenka in the semifinals and, despite dropping the opening set, defeated Zheng in the final, demonstrating her continued success.
