Impact Wrestling Results: November 22, 2018

Hello gang and welcome to another exciting edition of Impact Wrestling. Tonight, we are celebrating Impact Wrestling on Thanksgiving Day and I am sure we will be witnessing some wild and crazy shenanigans. So, without any further ado, let’s get started with tonight’s program!

Backstage segment

We are welcomed by McKenzie Mitchell discussing the Turkey Train match, where the loser of the team will have to wear the Turkey Suit. Fallah Bahh joins McKenzie and starts saying “Bahh!”. Eli Drake comes in and talks about how he loves Pumpkin Pie.

He talks about how people are at home enjoying their Thanksgiving meal and how families will be watching Eli Drake entertain them.

Eli Drake’s Gravy Train Turkey Trot Flashback

We take a look back at least year’s Eli Drake Gravy Train Turkey Trot in our GWN Flashback Moment of the Week segment. We see Eddie Edwards get the win for his team as he rolls up Christopher Adonis (Chris Masters), as he is forced to wear the “dreaded Turkey Suit”. He refuses to wear the suit and walks off before being stopped by security.

Jeremy Borash reminds him that he made a promise to wear the suit if his team lost. He reluctantly is dragged back to the ring after attempting an escape.

Borash warns Adonis that if he does not apply the suit as contractually obligated, then Eli Drake must apply the suit. Eli says to forget about everything as they attempt to walk out. Both men are forced back to the ring by Impact Wrestling security.

Chris Adonis puts on the suit as the crowd is loving every second of this. A food fight ensues among all the wrestlers at ringside.

Backstage Segment

Fallah Bahh chooses the first member of his team at random drawing. He chooses KM (Kevin Matthews). Both men are excited for their pairing as KM says he has Fallah’s back and vice versa. We cut to a commercial break.

When we return from break, Eli Drake chooses the first member of his team via random drawing. He chooses Katarina Lee. Eli doesn’t seem to happy with his choice.

Katarina talks about her family heritage in relation to Thanksgiving and how lucky Eli should be. Eli says he had hoped he would have picked someone that would measure up to the size of KM.

Turkey Bowl 2007

In another GWN Flashback Moment of the Week segment, we see a Turkey Bowl match from 2007 between “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Chris Sabin. Great fast paced, back-and-forth action as we would expect from these three Impact Wrestling alumni.

Samoa Joe goes over with the Muscle Buster on AJ Styles to win the $25,000 Turkey Bowl Prize. AJ Styles must now wear the Turkey Suit. Much to his dismay, AJ applies the suit.

Backstage Segment

KM and Fallah Bahh choose their next tag team partner. Their partner is revealed to be Kikutaro. He cuts a promo in Spanish, as KM and Fallah Bahh mark out. We go to a commercial break.

We come back from commercial break with an entourage of beautiful women from “Sexxy Show” escorting Scarlett Bordeaux to ringside. She blows the audience a kiss, as we cut to a video package showing the latest submissions for her contest.

Backstage Segment

Eli Drake spins the case and chooses his next partner for tonight’s match. Eli chooses Jake Crist (oVe). Sami Callihan tells Eli Drake to let’s just get this over with so they can get back to Eddie Edwards. Sami says if Jake ends up in the turkey suit they will eat everything.

We see various stars from Impact Wrestling share their favorite Thanksgiving memories.

We see a promo for “The Machine” Brian Cage vs Johnny Impact at Impact: Homecoming on January 6th 2019 for the World Heavyweight Championship.

KM and Fallah Bahh choose their next partner. Fallah chooses Desmond Xavier. Desmond comes in and thinks he is against Fallah Bahh, before switching gears and saying he can’t wait to see Eli’s team in a turkey suit. We cut to a commercial break.

Back from commercial break, Eli Drake makes his next pick. He chooses Raju from the Desi Squad. The Desi Squad claim they will rule Thanksgiving this year, in spite of them not eating traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

We cut to more members of the Impact Wrestling roster sharing their Thanksgiving memories.

Fallah Bahh and KM choose the final member of their team. They choose Alisa Edwards, the wife of Eddie Edwards. They question if she can hold her own against Katarina. Alisa claims she is always ready. KM and Fallah make a silly joke about Pilgrims and Plymouth Rock that Alisa didn’t find too funny or amusing as we cut to commercial break.

We are back from commercial break as Eli Drake chooses the last member of his team. Eli chooses Glenn Gilbertti (Disco Inferno). Glenn says he is here for one reason and one reason only, to impress Scarlett Bordeaux.

He goes on to say he wants Scarlett to fall in love with, get married and have Eli as his best man… much to Eli’s amusement. Eli pours a drink for himself and McKenzie Mitchell.

We cut a promo package highlighting the spectacular action of the X-Division from over the years.

BACKSTAGE SEGMENTS

Glenn Gilberti cuts in and claims he was the man who invented the Ultimate X Match, when in fact it was the invention of Don Callis. Glenn says the last good idea Don had was dying of loneliness.

We take a look back at everyone who has chosen to cash in their X-Division Championship for a World Title Shot, otherwise known as “Option C”.

McKenzie hypes up the Eli Drake Gravy Train Turkey Trot and the turkey suit. This was hilariously promoted as being taken too seriously than it should have been.

We cut to Eli Drake and his team talking trash on Fallah Bahh and his team. He says no one on his team will be wearing the turkey suit. Glenn says that no one on this team are idiots. The Desi Squad talk about showing what a real celebration will be all about. Sami Callihan says that he is not eating any onions if they end up in a turkey suit. Scarlett Boudreaux interrupts them, dressed as a sexy pilgrim, saying she will be scouting the talent. Scarlett says she hates turkey, but loves stuffing. This excites the team as we cut a promo featuring Tessa Blanchard and Taya Valkyrie for the Knockouts Championship for Impact: Homecoming.

Fallah Bahh hypes up his team the only way he can: “BAHH!”. KM says that Kikortu is a funny man, but tonight he is no joke. KM says Desmond Xavier that tonight is all for one and one for all, they will fight and win as a team. Kikortu and Desmond say they’re ready to eat everything. Alisha says that Katarina will be going back to England to her grandfather dressed in a turkey suit. Everyone does the “BAHH!” taunt as we cut to a commercial break.

MAIN EVENT: Glenn Gilberti, Rohit Raju, Katarina, Jake Crist and Eli Drake Vs. Kikutaro, Desmond Xavier, Alisha Edwards, KM and Fallah Bahh

We return from commercial break following the entrances for the teams to begin our main event for this evening. Josh Matthews puts over the match, as he has both teams say the Drake family oath, as they pledge to wear the turkey suit if that wrestler is pinned or submitted. Josh wishes them good luck as the match officially begins.

We start the match off with Alisha Edwards and Katarina. Alisha takes Katarina down with a headscissors, followed by the school girl roll up for a near fall. Katarina has a suplex countered to a roll-up for a near fall. Jake Crist and Kikutoro are tagged in. Showdown of strength between the two men, followed by a quick arm drag by Kikutoro. Desmond Xavier is tagged in, as is Eli Drake. Desmond takes control with the arm drag takedown into the armbar. Standing moonsault countered into a Sunset Flip by Desmond for the two count. Eli Drake with an inverted powerslam for a two count. Raju is tagged in. Sunset Flip into the slap by Raju, as Fallah Bahh tags in. Fallah drops the big leg drop across the head of Raju. After the distraction by The Desi Squad, Glenn Gilberti tags in and gets some cheap shots in, then tags in Eli Drake. Fallah Bahh fights back and hits the big crossbody to take both Gilbertti and Drake out. KM and Raju are tagged in. KM tosses Raju around to show off his strength. Everyone comes into the ring and applies a leg scissors, as Bahh grabs Raju and flips him over into a “centipede” Boston Crab. Scarlett Bordeaux makes her way down to ringside and starts a striptease as we cut to a commercial break.

We come back from commercial break, as Scarlett has positioned herself on stage, scouting and taunting the participants in the ring. Kikutoro gets taken down with a cutter by Eli Drake. Eli tags in Jake Crist. After a few shots, Eli tags back in. Raju tags in and goes after Kikutoro. Kikutoro hits the enziguiri kick to tag in Desmond Xavier. Xavier hits the snap mare into the dropkick, then attacks the opposing team. He hits the X-1-9 to Jake Crist, then a double Superkick to oVe on the floor. Xavier gets taken down by The Desi Squad, before Xavier is able to get away them and dive out on to Eli’s team on the floor. Fallah Bahh dives off the apron and cross body blocks everyone on the floor. Inside the ring, Alisha and Katarina go through a series of counters leading into a Flatliner by Alisha. KM takes down Glenn Gilbertti with a DDT. Bahh and the rest of his team take turns rolling over Gilbertti (Literately), including the referee!

Gilberti regains control and hits the Russian Legsweep to Fallah Bahh. He misses the “Y.M.C.A.” Elbow Drop and gets taken down with a Running Hip Attack, followed by the Banzai Drop by Fallah Bahh for the pinfall and the victory. Glenn Gilberti must now wear the turkey suit.

Glenn gets on the microphone and says he didn’t come here tonight to be made a fool of and wear the suit. He tells everyone to shove it and tries to leave. Everyone ushers him back to ringside, as Scarlett comes down and persuades him to put on the suit. She says there is nothing that she finds sexier than a man who doesn’t take himself seriously and asks Glenn to put on the suit for her. Glenn graciously accepts and puts on the suit as the Impact Zone chants: “Gobble Gobble!”. After putting on the suit, Scarlett tells Gilberti looks like an absolute idiot and walks away! We see a shot of Gilberti standing there in the suit as we end the show.
