Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo has weighed in on the team's 30-year Super Bowl drought. The Cowboys last won the Super Bowl in the 1995 season, defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers. They have not made it to the big game since.During a segment in the new Netflix documentary series "America's Team," Romo said the Cowboys have had teams strong enough to scale the summit, and the blame should not be placed on owner Jerry Jones."Those teams have been good enough to win the Super Bowl. They just needed that one play, that one quarter that gets you over the hump. You want to blame Jerry for those things? It's hard for me to ever think that."Romo was the starting quarterback for the Cowboys between 2006 and 2015, after being signed in 2003 as an undrafted free agent. In 10 seasons as the starter, Romo led the Cowboys to the postseason on four occasions. However, he only won two of the six postseason games he played. The best he could do was lead them to the divisional round on two occasions.Jim Nantz on his relationship with Tony RomoNow retired, Tony Romo has taken his talent to the booth and has become one of the NFL's leading announcers.
