The Jets went for two after a flag on the extra point, but were stopped short.The Steelers then scored a field goal in the second quarter to take a 10-9 advantage. Braelon Allen then scored a touchdown for the Jets to take the lead by a score of 16-10. The Jets then added three more to make the score 19-10. The Steelers responded with a late first-half touchdown to make the score 19-17.The New York Jets added another seven points in the third quarter to make the score 17-26, and the Steelers responded in kind with a touchdown of their own in the fourth quarter to pull within two to make it 24-26. The Steelers scored for a second time to push the score to 30-26, taking their first lead since the first half. One extra point later, courtesy of Chris Boswell, and the Steelers went up 31-26.Justin Fields then scored a fourth-down touchdown to regain the lead. The Jets went for two to try to go up three, but failed, making the score 32-31. Chris Boswell tried to hit a field goal from 60 yards and managed to hit it with 1:03 left in the game, making the score 34-32.The Jets failed to respond, and the game came to a close. The Pittsburgh Steelers won 34-32 to jump to 1-0.
