CeeDee Lamb was not at his best during the Dallas Cowboys' 24-20 season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. The wide receiver dropped four catches, including one that could have won them the game at Lincoln Financial Field.

At first Lamb dropped a pass from Dak Prescott during a third-down play in the fourth quarter as it slipped past his hand. Then, at the start of the two-minute drill, the Cowboys QB lobbed a pass down the field targeting the wide receiver. Unfortunately, despite his best efforts and a dive, Lamb fumbled that pass as well, sealing the fate of his team on the field.

After the game, former NFL receiver Antonio Brown took a jab at Lamb. He shared a meme of a man with no hands and a caption that read:

Lamb finished the game with seven receptions for 110 yards. Quarterback Dak Prescott completed 21 of 34 passes for 188 yards with no touchdowns.

The Cowboys had taken an early lead in the first quarter of the game thanks to Javonte Williams' rushing touchdown. However, the loss of Micah Parsons' could be felt as the Eagles kept pressuring them with their pass rushing game. This allowed quarterback Jalen Hurts to score two rushing touchdowns that helped his team secure the win at Lincoln Financial Field.

In the post-game press conference, the wide receiver did not make any excuses about the mistakes he made on the field, especially fumbling the potential game-winning catch.

"Man, that was terrible," Lamb said as per Cowboys website. "I can't point fingers at anybody else. I take full accountability and everything else that comes with that. As a player, I've prayed for moments like that, and for the ball to come my way. To not come up with it, it stings a little bit."

However, head coach Brian Schottenheimer did not exclusively blame CeeDee Lamb for the loss. He stated that while his players gave it their best on the field, it wasn't enough as they could not end the night with a win. The Cowboys next take on the Giants at AT&T Stadium on Sept. 14.
