During this season, he emerged as one of the team's primary receiving targets, amassing 29 receptions for 422 yards and one touchdown, averaging 14.6 yards per catch. Notably, he achieved a career-high performance against Duke with six catches for 134 yards. Evans has been included on various watchlists for prestigious awards such as the Lombardi Award and was named to the Associated Press Preseason All-American Second Team for the upcoming season.
