Tyrrell Hatton pens a grateful message after a top 5 finish at the 2025 US Open

Tyrrell Hatton was so close to grabbing a Major victory at the 2025 US Open. However, he fell just four strokes short of JJ Spaun. Regardless, he landed in the top 5, finishing at T4 with Cameron Young and Carlos Ortiz. And it’s safe to say that he still has not lost hope.

Hatton entered Sunday's round at Oakmont having scored 73, 70 and 68 through the first three rounds. He scored a 2-over 72 on Sunday (June 15).

A few hours ago, after concluding his 2025 US Open campaign, Tyrrell Hatton took to his official Instagram account and shared a post. It was a series of pictures of himself at Oakmont. In the caption, he wrote:

"I gave it everything. Thank you, Oakmont, a true @usopengolf test. Proud of my fight and my T4 finish. Congratulations @jjspaun on the win. See you again next year. 👋🏼"

Tyrrell Hatton began the round on Sunday with a disappointing start. He opened with a bogey. After that, he carded two consecutive even pars, followed by a birdie on the fourth hole. While that might have looked like a turning point, things got all the more boring. He carded even pars through the remaining holes of the front nine.

At the back nine, he once again started with a bogey. He later carded one birdie and ended the round with two consecutive bogeys.

Tyrrell Hatton's 2025 season as of June

Tyrrell Hatton’s 2025 season includes appearances on the LIV Golf League, the DP World Tour, and in all three Major championships held so far. He opened the year with a victory at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic in January, finishing at 15-under par.

On the LIV Golf circuit, Hatton has participated in eight events, with his strongest performance being a tie for fifth at LIV Golf Mexico City. He also recorded top-20 finishes in events held in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Virginia.

In addition to his LIV schedule, Hatton competed in the first three Majors of the year. He finished tied for 14th at the Masters Tournament in April, tied for 60th at the PGA Championship in May and secured a tie for fourth at the U.S. Open in June.
