Akshay Bhatia: Akshay Bhatia changes apparel sponsor ahead of The Sentry 2025

Akshay Bhatia emerged as one of the most promising golfers during the 2024 PGA Tour season. The 22-year-old made his first start on the Tour this year at the Sentry on January 2 with a surprising bit of news.

Bhatia had been associated with apparel brand Greyson. However, he has switched his allegiance to TravisMathew this season.

The US golfer has already registered two wins on the Tour and has shown great potential in his play. He is already signed to Callaway. Bhatia "couldn't be more excited" for this latest collaboration with TravisMathew. He said via Bunkered:

"I’ve always been a fan of the brand and couldn’t be more excited to represent the brand as an ambassador during the season. The ideals and the style TravisMathew embodies fit right in with me, my personality and my motivations,"

Bhatia has become known for his style game on the course as well. He often opts for joggers which is still considered a bold choice in men's golf by many. Ryan Ellis, CEO of TravisMathew believes that his mindset aligns with the "spirit of the brand".

Bhatia is currently competing at the Sentry in Hawaii.

Akshay Bhatia teed off with Nick Dunlap and Matt Fitzpatrick at 2:09 pm ET at the Sentry. The young golfer will face some steep competition from notable players such as Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Si Woo Kim, Sungjae Im, Hideki Matsuyama among others at the event.
