What is the lore behind the Peely Pick in Fortnite?

There is no lore associated with the Peely Pick in Fortnite. However, the Pickaxe does belong to a very special character in the Metaverse known as Peely. He has been the butt of every joke from bad driving to being turned into a banana smoothie by Bunker Jonesy in Chapter 1 Season 9. Despite his shenanigans, Peely has been part of the storyline and even played an important role back in Chapter 3 Season 2 when he saved Mecha Strike Commander from being destroyed at the hand of the Imagined Order. 

All in all, while the Peely Pick is not very important in the grand scheme of things, it is considered important as it belongs to Peely. Its official in-game description reads, “Wield the power of the peel.” This is in reference to the Pickaxe featuring a banana that someone or something has peeled halfway.

Should you buy the Peely Pick in Fortnite? If you are a fan of the Banana Brigade as some call it, then Peely Pick should be in your in-game locker. The Pickaxe will go well with all Peely snapshots/variants and is very iconic in nature. In fact, if opponents see you using this Pickaxe in-game, they might consider you to not be a threat which in theory, could give you an edge in combat. Unfortunately, you will not be able to use Peely Pick while exploring new LEGO Fortnite seeds.
