Twitter reacts to Cristiano Ronaldo's 300th La Liga goal

In what was a much-needed morale-boosting victory for Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 300th La Liga goal and followed it up with another to help Los Blancos win their weekend league clash against Getafe.

Real Madrid started with a strong lineup and enjoyed a thorough control of the game with more than 75% possession over the 90 minutes. Gareth Bale started the scoring with a 24th-minute goal before Ronaldo scored at the brink of half-time to put them in a comfortable situation. Getafe threatened to come back later in the game but Ronaldo's 301st goal sealed the deal, as they now wait to welcome PSG, who are without their star signing Neymar for the match.

This made Ronaldo the fastest to reach 300 La Liga goals - he did that in 286 appearances, 48 fewer than Lionel Messi (334).
