The Challengers stage of the IEM Katowice CSGO major culminated with a total of 8 teams advancing to the new Legends Stage. The teams who advanced to the next stage are:

There were many plays which certainly were VACworthy, but in this list, we have only included the ones which had a tremendous impact on the round.

#5 Zellsis ace clutch on his Major debut against Grayhound

Although a rookie playing his first major, he didn't let the pressure get better of him. With very calm Glock headshots, Zellsis clutched the round for Cloud9 from the jaws of defeat.

#4 Dirty UMP ace by REZ against Vega

With the maps tied at 1-1 against the Russian side, REZ pulled off one of the most ridiculous aces with a UMP with the first 2 headshots being through the smoke.

#3 f0rest with the all headshot ace against ViCi on Inferno

The man needs no further introduction. Staying at the top echelons of counter-strike for 15 years is no small feat. This ace by f0rest had it all. A shot through the smoke, a spray transfer, proper grenade usage and crisp one tap to finish it off.

#2 Sergej pulls off a baffling 1v3 against Vega on Train

Usually, a very solid rifler but this young prodigy can do it all, donning the AWP he destroyed Vega as they tried to get their first round on the board.

#1 ZywOo with a 1v3 to close out Inferno in triple overtime

Team Vitality was in a very precarious position as the first map went to triple overtime. ZywOo pulled off a nerve-wracking 1v3 to put Team Vitality in the lead. The Frenchmen went on to close out the series 2-0 on Nuke.
