Te-Hina Paopao is a college basketball guard for the South Carolina Gamecocks, a team that competes in the Southeastern Conference. Te-Hina is in her senior year as of March 2025. Paopao previously played at Oregon where stayed for three seasons and was honored with All-Pac-12 each season with the Ducks. As a senior for the Gamecocks in 2023-24, she became a key part of the team. Paopao was honored with the All-SEC Second Team selection following her performance when she helped the school to SEC regular-season and tournament championships.

While playing for the Gamecocks, she was a finalist for the Nancy Lieberman Point Guard of the Year Award. Additionally, she achieved the All-America honors. In the 2023-24 season, she played in 37 games and started all of them. She made 14 3-point field goals which was the most in a single NCAA Tournament in 2024. As of March 2025, Paopao has played in 34 games while averaging 9.7 points and 2.7 rebounds (via ESPN).

Paopao attended La Jolla Country Day High School where she was ranked the No. 11 overall player in the Class of 2020. During her senior year, she led her side to a 32-1 record in the 2019-2020 season. In addition to this, she also helped the high school team reach the No. 1 national ranking following her performance when she averaged 22.7 points, 8.0 rebounds, 43.3 assists, and 3.3 steals. She was honored with McDonald’s All-American and selected for the Jordan Brand Classic. As a junior, she led her high school team to win the regional championships and State Final Four in 2018-19. Paopao averaged 17.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.4 steals per game.
