The LA Lakers posted a 121-110 win over the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. LA got contributions from all over, as four of their starters scored at least 17 points. Anthony Davis led their charge with a game-best 38 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and two blocks, while LeBron James had 25 points and seven rebounds. The Lakers continued their winning run following their remarkable roster turnaround after the trade deadline. They also got their revenge against former player Patrick Beverley, now with the Bulls, who had some words before the teams clashed for a back-to-back in LA and Chicago.Beverley said he was going to stop the Lakers from winning and improving their playoff chances. He delivered on that claim as the Bulls recorded a 118-108 win in LA on Sunday. However, the Bulls failed to replicate that at home, losing the game by 11 points.Lakers fans online were ecstatic after the win. They particularly mocked Patrick Beverley, who went scoreless, shooting 0-for-5 in the game. LeBron James made a comeback into the starting lineup in his second game following a 13-game injury absence. James shone with 25 points, shooting 10-of-19.He was crucial in helping the Lakers set the tone with a 17-point lead in the first quarter. The Bulls kept fighting back, but LeBron, along with Anthony Davis, kept the Lakers afloat with timely plays.Meanwhile, D'Angelo Russell returned to the lineup after a two-game absence (hip injury). He continued to make an impact with 17 points and four assists, shooting 7-of-12.Austin Reaves had 17 points and five assists on 5-of-6 shooting, while Jarred Vanderbilt had eight points and seven rebounds. The LA Lakers needed this kind of performance from their starters as their bench struggled to produce the goods. Dennis Schroder (eight points) and Rui Hachimura (six points) were the only bench players to get on the scoresheet. The Chicago Bulls kept taking advantage of the Lakers when their second unit was on the floor, allowing them to erase multiple 15+ point deficits. The Bulls even took a three-point lead in the second quarter before LA closed the half with a run of their own to take an eight-point lead into the break. The LA Lakers are .500 again, improving to 38-38 and reclaiming eighth place in the Western Conference.
