Katia Lindor defends her husband from criticism aimed at him from Jason Kipnis and describing him a bully in the process

Mets ace Francisco Lindor cooly played down the criticism aimed at him from former teammate Jason Kipnis, choosing to take the high road instead of engaging in a war of words.

"I haven't talked to him. I don't really have much to say," Lindor said in response to the criticism aimed toward him by former teammate Jason Kipnis.

Kipnis criticized the Mets during an interview on The Foul Territory TV Podcast for their lack of leadership despite them having numerous veterans and a high payroll.

When quizzed about whether he thought the same of his former teammate Francisco Lindor, Kipnis reiterated: “I’m gonna repeat it again, all those veterans and no leadership.”

Lindor received heaps of support on social media, including from his wife, Katia Lindor, when she entered the fray and to the defense of her man with a post on Twitter. She went on to berate the former Chicago Cubs second baseman Kipnis of being a locker-room bully, describing him as a wannabe leader.

“My husband is such a classy person, would never say what a bully Kipnis was in the clubhouse," Katia Lindor said. "Sounds like a true leader vs. the opposite of a leader."

Lindor who's been under the pump recently after a slow start to the season, shut his critics in the process.
