Grading every match at AEW All Out 2021

All Out promised to be the biggest event in AEW history and it delivered, and then some. The card was stacked from top to bottom with excellent grudge matches and intense title matches.

There were three debuts to speak of: Ruby Soho, Adam Cole, and Daniel Bryan, or Bryan Danielson, as he'll be called in AEW.

The match line-up was as follows:

• Eddie Kingston vs Miro for the TNT Championship
• Satoshi Kojima vs Jon Moxley
• Kris Statlander vs Britt Baker for the AEW Women's Championship
• Lucha Brothers vs the Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship
• Women's Casino Battle Royale
• MJF vs Chris Jericho
• CM Punk vs Darby Allin
• QT Marshall vs Paul Wight
• Christian Cage vs Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship

Let's look at how each match went down and grade them accordingly.

Eddie Kingston vs Miro for the TNT Championship at AEW All Out

Miro put Eddie Kingston in a headlock as the crowd urged the Mad King to power out. Kingston got out of the hold with strikes to Miro's mid-section. Eddie tried to get some momentum, but Miro shut him off with a dropkick. Kingston chopped Miro in the corner and dodged a splash before following it with a flying enziguiri.

Miro rolled outside and caught Kingston as he attempted a suicide dive. Kingston hit an explorer suplex inside the ring as both men slugged it out in the center of the ring. Kingston chopped Miro's chest and hit two exploder suplexes for a near fall.

Miro rolled to the outside again and, this time, Kingston hit the suicide dive. Back inside the ring, Kingston hit a suplex for a two-count. Miro dropped Kingston with a kick and locked in the Game Over but Eddie Kingston got the bottom rope.

Kingston hit a backhand and a DDT for a very close near fall. Miro hit a low-blow, a roundhouse kick, and a vicious running superkick to win and retain the TNT Championship.

Satoshi Kojima vs Jon Moxley at AEW All Out

Satoshi Kojima, making his AEW debut, offered a handshake but Jon Moxley wasn't interested. Both men teed off on each other with hard rights and chops. Kojima took down the former AEW world champion with a shoulder tackle and hit an over-the-top-rope dive on the outside. Mox countered with a few strikes and hit a suicide dive of his own.

One of the top babyfaces in AEW, Mox trash-talked the Japanese legend as he chopped him in the corner. Kojima turned it around and hit missile chops of his own followed by a running elbow in the corner. Kojima hit a top rope elbow drop for a two-count. The former IWGP heavyweight champion went for his vaunted lariat but Mox countered with a suplex. Kojima perched Mox up on the top rope and hit a superplex.

Both men traded shots on the apron before Kojima dropped Mox with a DDT on the apron. Another DDT in the ring got the former G1 Climax winner a two-count. Kojima went for the Koji cutter but Mox countered for a near fall. Mox immediately locked in an armbar. Kojima got his leg to the lower rope but Mox continued the offense with a knee to the face.

Kojima countered a Paradigm Shift attempt with a brainbuster for another two-count. Mox countered a Koji lariat attempt with a German suplex as he hit Kojima with standing lariats. Kojima would not go down so Mox hit another knee to the face. Kojima countered another Paradigm Shift attempt with a Kojima cutter but couldn't go for the cover.

We saw a slugfest in the center of the ring as Mox floored Kojima with a bulldog rear-naked chokehold, much to the AEW fans' delight. Kojima got the rope once again. Mox countered the Kojima lariat with a Paradigm Shift. Instead of going for the cover, Mox hit an elevated Paradigm Shift to win the match.

Kris Statlander vs Britt Baker for the AEW Women's Championship at All Out

Both women started with some chain wrestling as champion Britt Baker went for the lockjaw early. Kris Statlander, unbeaten in AEW this year, countered as Baker rolled to the outside. The match reset as Statlander whipped Baker and took her down with a shoulder tackle.

Statlander hit a mule kick from the corner and climbed the top rope but Baker hit a swinging neck breaker. The alien rolled to the ringside and Baker stomped on her as soon as Statlander came back to the ring.

Baker grounded Statlander with elbow shots to the shoulder. Statlander forced Baker to the corner but Baker hit a sling blade. Statlander hit a fishhook falcon arrow for a two count. Baker planted Statlander with a DDT for a near fall as Rebel handed her a glove, foreshadowing the lockjaw.

The most popular woman in AEW countered a splash in the corner with a flat liner onto the turnbuckle. Baker climbed the top rope but Statlander struck her and hit a superplex. Statlander hit Area 451 but Baker dodged it. Baker couldn't lock in the lockjaw but Statlander got her in the electric chair and planted her face first, followed it up with leg scissors, and got a near fall.

Statlander went for a pendulum moonsault on the outside but Baker moved out of the away and delivered a curb stomp on the outside. Orange Cassidy was fired up, rarely seen in AEW, and cajoled Statlander to roll back inside the ring. Statlander locked in the spider crab but Baker kicked her way out of it.

Baker kicked Statlander in the corner as she climbed the top rope and hit a Pittsburgh sunrise flip and a curb-stomp for a near fall. Baker locked in the lockjaw to get the submission win and retain her title thus handing Statlander her first AEW loss in 2021.

Lucha Brothers vs the Young Bucks for the AEW Tag Team Championship at All Out

This was a rematch from AEW All Out 2019 and the two teams' third AEW pay-per-view match.

The AEW tag team champions immediately tried to escape the cage but the Lucha Brothers pulled them down. The Luchadors hit the Bucks with Enziguiris. Rey Fenix hit a stunning hurricanrana on Nick Jackson as the Lucha Brothers hit a top rope stomp on Matt Jackson.

The AAA tag team champions shoved the AEW tag team champions into the steel. The Bucks isolated Penta in the corner before taking out Fenix with combination maneuvers. The Bucks took out Penta with a vicious kick against the steel while Fenix was powerbombed onto the steel. Matt Jackson went for another powerbomb but Fenix countered.

Nick got dropped with a sling blade by Penta. Fenix hit a Lucha Libre arm drag off the side of the steel cage. Matt hit a modified stunner on Matt Jackson as Rey hit a stunning double stunner on the Jackson brothers. Rey Fenix climbed the top rope but Matt kicked him onto the steel as Nick locked in the sharpshooter on Penta. Matt hit Rey with an Everest German suplex on the apron as Nick hit an assisted Swanton Bomb on Penta for a near fall.

The Bucks hit a senton-tombstone combination and went for a double cover but the Lucha Brothers kicked out. The Bucks went for a BTE Trigger but Rey Fenix dodged. The Elite members struck both Luchadors with low blows. The Bucks hit More Bang for your Buck on Rey Fenix but Penta broke the pin with a superkick.

The Jackson brothers went after their opponents' masks and shoved Fenix into the steel. Brandon Cutler threw in a bag inside the ring as Matt Jackson put on a shoe with spikes on the sole. Matt went for a superkick with a spike shoe but Penta put himself in harm's way to protect his brother.

Nick sent Penta head-first into the spike shoe before kicking Penta's head into the sole of the shoe. Penta got busted open. Rey was hit with a superkick with the spike shoe and a reverse hurricanrana. The Bucks hit the BTE Trigger on Penta but Fenix somehow broke the pin.

Fenix went on an offensive flurry and picked up the shoe and hit both Jackson brothers with it. Penta and Matt slugged it out inside the ring and Penta hit an avalanche Canadian destroyer off the top rope. All four men staggered inside the ring and hit superkicks and chops as the Bucks got the upper hand, or so it seemed before the Lucha Brothers kipped up to pop the AEW crowd.

The exchange ended with all four men hitting the deck. The Lucha Brothers hit the Fear Factor and nearly pinned Nick Jackson but Matt Jackson broke the pin at the last second. Penta instructed Rey to climb to the top of the cage as he held Matt Jackson in the piledriver position.

Nick saved his brother and tried to climb the cage. Fenix hit a splash from the top of the cage and the Lucha Brothers planted Nick Jackson to win and become the new AEW tag team champions, their first titles in AEW.

Women's Casino Battle Royale at AEW All Out

Former AEW women's champion Hikaru Shida walked out first, followed by Skye Blue, Emi Sakura, the Bunny, and Abadon to complete the Clubs suit. Emi Sakura. Hikaru Shida's trainer before AEW went right after Shida. Abadon backed Shida into the corner as Skye and Bunny battled out in the middle of the ring.

Abadon eliminated Skye Blue as she posed ringside. Bunny blindsided Abadon and eliminated her. Sakura locked in Shida in a Romero special, allowing Bunny to strike Sakura in the face. The next suit was Diamonds. Anna Jay ran inside the ring and went right after The Bunny.

Kiera Hogan made her way to the ring, striking Shida with a sliding dropkick. KiLynn King, Diamante, and another former AEW women's champion, Nyla Rose, followed. Shida eliminated Sakura after Sakura got too involved with Diamante. Kiera Hogan and KiLynn King were eliminated shortly afterward.

Nyla Rose dumped Hikaru Shida out of the ring to thin the crowd. Diamante and Nyla Rose battled in one corner as Bunny and Anna Jay fought in the other. Thunder Rose was next in line as part of the Hearts suit and immediately took out Nyla Rose with a shotgun dropkick.

Penelope Ford, first-ever AEW women's champion Riho, Jamie Hayter, and Big Swole walked out. Riho hit a double-619 on Ford and Bunny but Hayter went after Riho immediately after. Big Swole eliminated Diamante but Hayter dumped Swole out of the ring. Rose and Hayter double-teamed on Thunder Rosa but the Mexican powered out, putting both Rose and Hayter on the backfoot.

Tay Conti ran out and immediately went for The Bunny. Red Velvet charged into the ring and took out Hayter. Leyla Hirsch came out next, followed by Jade Cargill. Rebel was the final member of the Spades suit, meaning only the Joker was left. Red Velvet eliminated Rebel as Bunny and Anna Jay fought on the apron. Both women were eliminated as Jade Cargill press slammed Leyla Hirsch over the top rope.

Ruby Soho walked out as the Joker and went right after Jade Cargill. Rosa and Soho combined to ground the Native Beast before going after Jade Cargill. Cargill eliminated Jamie Hayter and immediately went after Red Velvet, eliminating her as well. Nyla Rose blindsided Cargill and eliminated her as Tay Conti ejected Penelope Ford from the ring.

Nyla Rose clobbered Conti out of the ring as Rose, Thunder Rosa, and Ruby Soho were the final three survivors in the AEW casino battle royale. Thunder Rosa eliminated Nyla Rose to a huge ovation from the AEW fans, leaving herself and Ruby Soho as the final two. Rosa slapped Soho and Soho replied with a chop to Rosa's chest.

Both women exchanged blows as Soho backed against the ropes. Ruby countered the Thunder Driver and tried to whip Rosa out of the ring. Both women were placed on the apron, barely hanging on. Rosa got up Ruby for the death valley driver but Soho pushed her into the ringpost. A vicious kick later, Soho emerged victorious to get a shot at the AEW Women's Championship.

Grade: C

MJF vs Chris Jericho at AEW All Out

MJF and Chris Jericho clobbered each other and went for takedowns as MJF looked to continue his unbeaten AEW streak over Jericho. Jericho got the better of the early exchange and went for the Walls of Jericho but MJF countered with a roll-up. Jericho rolled outside as both men wrestled into the crowd.

MJF countered a baseball slide dropkick by trapping the Demo God at ringside. MJF locked in the armbar targeting Jericho's shoulder before dropping Le Champion with a vertical suplex onto his shoulder. MJF went for another suplex but Jericho countered with a snap suplex of his own.

Jericho chopped MJF and took him down with a bulldog and a backbreaker. MJF stomped on Jericho's arm again, before tossing him in the corner with a judo throw. MJF chopped Jericho and mocked Ric Flair by doing his signature walk. Jericho dodged a moonsault from MJF on the outside and planted him with a powerbomb on the apron.

The inaugural AEW world champion went to the top rope but MJF caught him with a codebreaker for a nearfall. MJF clutched his lower back as Jericho tried to turn him for the Walls of Jericho. The former AEW world champion connected with the Lionsault for a nearfall. Jericho struck MJF with 10 lariats in the corner.

MJF but a huge Liger bomb off the top rope but his back gave away and he couldn't go for the cover immediately. Late cover only got him a nearfall. Jericho hit a codebreaker off the top rope but MJF kicked out at the last second. Wardlow tried to interfere but Jake Hager stopped him in his tracks. MJF used the distraction to retrieve Floyd, Jericho's baseball bat and hit Jericho with the Judas Effect.

MJF went for the cover and got a pinfall victory, although Jericho had his foot on the lower rope. However, Aubrey Edwards missed it and called for the bell. Edwards was informed of the error and the match was restarted.

Jericho went for the roll-up but MJF kicked out. MJF locked in the armbar but Jericho powered out and went for the Walls of Jericho, finally succeeding. MJF tapped out to a huge pop from the AEW crowd, prolonging Jericho's in-ring career in AEW.

CM Punk vs Darby Allin at AEW All Out

CM Punk scored the first offense in his AEW in-ring debut as he took down Allin with a shoulder tackle. The AEW crowd chanted 'Welcome Back' as the two men got in a collar and elbow tie-up. Punk got a side headlock and Darby countered with a hammerlock. Punk tried and failed to escape out of it multiple times.

Darby Allin grounded Punk with the hammerlock and went for a roll-up. The former WWE champion dropped Darby with a back elbow and dropped him with a scoop slam. Darby was kicked out at less than one. Punk got Darby in another headlock but Darby took him down with a shoulder tackle as the AEW fans alternated between chants for both men.

The Straight Edge star caught Darby Allin in the air but the face-painted star avoided the GTS and rolled out of the ring to regroup. This time Darby got the upper hand as he hit Punk with two Coffin Splashes in the corner. Punk whipped Allin into the corner as Darby's back turned red. Punk locked in the bow and arrow to punish Darby's back even more.

Punk went for a back suplex and got a two-count. The Voice of the Voiceless continued to punish Allin's back with submission holds as Darby tried to power out with elbow shots. Punk got in a backbreaker and locked in another headlock to slow the pace of the match. The headlock transitioned to an abdominal stretch. Darby hit the stunner to stem Punk's incessant punishment on his back. Allin slapped Punk and hit the middle rope Coffin Drop and followed it up with a few roll-up attempts.

Code Red earned him a nearfall as he climbed the top rope for the Coffin Drop. Punk pushed Darby Allin and went for the back superplex. Darby countered with a splash but Punk kicked out. Punk hit the Go To Sleep but Darby fell out of the ring. Once inside the ring, Punk clubbed Allin and went for a flying knee in the corner.

Punk signaled for another GTS as Darby struggled to get up. Punk powered out of the GTS attempt with powerful elbows to Punk's jaw and Punk rolled to the ringside. Darby Allin launched himself into a suicide dive and made his way to the top rope, delivering a flipping senton on the outside.

Allin got Punk back into the ring and went for the Coffin Drop. Punk sat up and evaded the move. Punk went for a GTS but Allin grabbed Punk's knee and went for a modified roll-up. Punk kicked out at the last second and went for a leg lariat. Punk connected with a second GTS and won on his return to professional wrestling.

QT Marshall vs Paul Wight at AEW All Out

Paul Wight, another AEW in-ring debutant, tossed QT Marshall around and slapped his chest in the corner. Wight stood on Marshall's back and continued to hurt his chest. Marshall hit a dropkick on Wight's knees to get the big man off his feet. The AEW trainer hit another dropkick in Paul's face but Wight kicked out at two.

QT went for the diamond cutter but the AEW Elevation commentator countered and took down QT with a shoulder tackle before dropping him with a back body drop. Aaron Solo and Nick Comoroto tried to interfere but the AEW debutant took them out with ease before putting away QT Marshall with a chokeslam.

Christian Cage vs Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All Out

In the AEW All Out main event, Kenny Omega immediately went for a V-Trigger but Christian Cage dodged it and tried for a Killswitch, the move that got him the win at AEW Rampage. Omega and Christian went outside as Captain Charisma launched the Belt Collector into the barricade. Christian dropped Omega on the outside with a top rope splash.

Omega regained momentum and launched Christian over the steps. He placed a ladder on the IMPACT Wrestling world champion and stomped on him. Don Callis helped Omega set up another table and Omega went for a suplex on the table. Christian countered with a suplex of his own and rolled Omega into the ring and chopped his chest.

The Cleaner avoided a Cloverleaf and hit a slingblade for a two-count. Omega stalked Christian and wore him down in the corner. Christian was perched on the top rope but Omega shoved him to the apron and onto the floor. The Best Bout Machine hit a moonsault off the barricade and rolled Christian back inside the ring. The AEW world champion slapped Christian and sent him chest-first into the turnbuckle.

Omega dropped Christian with an ushigoroshi for a nearfall and went to the top rope. Christian scuppered whatever Omega had in mind and executed a hurricanrana from the top rope. Christian tried to lock in the Cloverleaf again but Omega kicked him away into the turnbuckle.

Omega had Christian on his shoulders but Christian countered with a reverse DDT. Christian went for a spear but Omega struck him in the face with his knee. Christian hit a tornado DDT off the top rope but Omega kicked out at two. Christian positioned himself for the Killswitch but Omega countered with a swinging kick to the head. Omega hit the first V-Trigger of the match and followed it up with consecutive snapdragon suplexes.

Christian flipped off the AEW world champion and Omega responded with another snapdragon suplex and a V-Trigger. Omega went for a German suplex from the apron to the table on the outside, but Christian escaped.

Omega then went for a One-Winged Angel but Christian powered out and delivered a spear off the apron and through the table. Inside the ring, Christian hit two spears but Omega kicked out at the last moment to preserve his AEW World Championship.

Christian went for a frog splash but Omega got his knees up. Omega tried to plant Christian with a gut-wrench powerbomb but his back gave away, forcing him to knee Christian in the face constantly. Omega hit a rib-cord V-Trigger and tried for the Tiger Driver. Christian countered and finally locked in the Cloverleaf. Don Callis called for backup as the Good Brothers ran out to help their fellow Elite member.

Doc Gallows held Christian against the rope but Christian moved out of the way as Omega hit his own teammate with the V-Trigger. Christian went for the Killswitch from the top rope but Omega reversed it with a middle rope One-Winged Angel to get the win, retain the AEW World Championship and hand Christian Cage his first loss in AEW.
